Description

The Stag at Offchurch is an award winning traditional country village pub offering seasonal Anglo/French cuisine. Located in a 16th century thatched building in the centre of the picturesque and historic village of Offchurch, just 3½ miles from Leamington Spa’s town centre, the philosophy at The Stag is simple - provide good quality, country food at value for money prices.  Recently refurbished, The Stag at Offchurch provides a comfortable and welcoming ambience with two restaurant areas, each with its own individual character. During the day, dogs, walkers and country folk benefit from the open fires in a traditional pub environment. In the evening, the pub is transformed with a sophisticated dining atmosphere.

Owners, Charles Harris and Nigel Brown, have more than 30 years experience between them in hospitality and catering, and they certainly know the recipe for success! Offering excellent and creative dishes using the finest of fresh ingredients, sourced where possible locally, together with a first class service, the team of chefs provide Anglo/French cuisine at its best within a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.  Sample their Fresh Taglioni with smoked chicken, red pepper and pine nut/sweet chilli sauce, tuck into their Rosemary Crusted Rack of Cornish Lamb with parsnip and potato dauphinoise, roasted carrots and red wine jus, then why not treat yourself to a Dark Belgian Chocolate & Orange tart with praline cream - simply delicious!

Winners of The Publican 2010 Best Food Pub of the Year Award, the National Food Pub of the Year 2010 and Les Routiers Newcome of the Year 2011, a visit to The Stag at Offchurch is definitely a date for the diary!

Guest comments

  • What a find this little gem of a village pub restaurant is in Offchurch, really intimate dining yet is great for private functions, as we discovered a couple of weeks ago for the Morgan Annual Dinner. Great bar atmosphere too, but the food is seriously good ... great fish menu, steaks plus a few really unusual French dishes. The confit of duck was just to die for and I like the idea that you can buy wine by the glass, pichet or bottle too. A great place for al fresco dining with its fab terrace furniture ... the staff are fun too and make me feel young! A***********

  • Simply an award winning evening of food, service and ambience from a truly, just deserved award winning pub. It's clear to see why The Stag was winner of National Food Pub of the Year 2010!! Great range of dishes, excellently presented, superb wines...the list goes on. Visit The Stag whenever you can, you won't be disappointed.
