Description

The Ivy House is a beautiful 250 year old, brick and flint coaching inn set in the heart of the Chiltern Vale, and benefiting from the most stunning views across the countryside.  When you enter, the Inn’s charm and history which creates a warm atmosphere - enjoy the open fires, old beams, comft armchairs and meet the resident ghost!  The Ivy House is haunted by the shadowy figure of a stable lad. A recent sighting has confirmed that the apparition is of a young lad dressed in 17th century costume; over the years there have been numerous sightings. This may well have a connection with the fact that as an old coaching inn, the convicted stopped here on their way to London to be hanged!

The Ivy House Pub & Inn’s hosts provide a genuinely warm and hearty welcome.  The creative menus are prepared using fresh, locally-sourced produce, where possible, and Fuller’s excellent beer together with a fine selection of great wines are served to accompany any meal. The outdoor patio, complete with vine, is the perfect place to sit and relax on a warm summer evening, or for al fresco dining.

Why not complete your experience at The Ivy House and stay overnight in one of their 5 comfortable and stylish bedrooms… an opportunity not to be missed.
