Les Routiers partners with the SRA!
Les Routiers UK & Ireland has taken another major step towards making sustainability mainstream in restaurants by signing a partnership deal with The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA).
It seems fitting that two fishermen’s cottages have been turned into one of the finest fish bars in Scotland. Occupying the ground floor and overlooking the picturesque harbour, its popularity with locals and tourists alike is down to its consistently good, award winning fish and chips. The owners have their own fish-processing business in the fishing village of St Monans, giving them access to the freshest, highest quality seafood including superb crab and lobster landed at nearby Crail.
People travel from miles around for its fare and, in the summer months, queues can be seen stretching along the street! The interior is designed for maximum efficiency, with separate takeaway and restaurant sections. Service keeps up with demand yet despite the hustle and bustle, you don’t feel rushed. The catch-of-the-day might include tuna, monkfish, halibut, trout, salmon, lemon sole, prawns or dressed crab, which you can enjoy with a glass of wine or a beer with eat-in meals.
