Description
According to records, there has been a ‘Royal Oak’ on this site since the 1880’s and today, the tradition continues. The present ‘Royal Oak’ is privately-owned and run by Paul Day and Lewis Robinson who aquired the business in 1996. Their loyal team is headed up by Manager and Host, Nick Jerrim, who will ensure that any guest’s visit to The Royal Oak will be a memorable one.
Head chef, David Wharton, runs the kitchen, creating a wonderful variety of culinary delights and inspiring menus to tickle the tastebuds of any dinner guest, utilising locally-sourced produce as much as possible. Sample the Selsey Crab Rarebit with a soft poached egg; dip into the Royal Oak British Fish pie with glazed mash, or delight in the flavours of their Charcuterie platter of cured meats, olives and warm ciabatta.
One thing is for sure, a visit to The Royal Oak to sample their mouth-watering cuisine will not disappoint!
