Description

Originally a traditional 17th-century Welsh longhouse and later a staging post for coaches, the Greyhound Inn and Hotel recently been Graded 4 Star Inn by the Wales Tourist Board, occupies a stunning hillside position, surrounded by woodland and pasture in the beautiful Usk Valley. Having been extended and featuring a split-level bar, plus a succession of drinking and eating rooms, the inn is noted for its open log fires and comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.  Conversion of the former stables has provided spacious en suite bedrooms decorated in a cottage style that suits the rural location. Summer al fresco drinking is a real treat amongst the colourful flower borders and hanging baskets in the beautiful garden.

An ideal location for golfers, the Greyhound Inn & Hotel is only 20 minutes drive from a wide selection of golf clubs and 10 minutes from the 2010 Ryder Cup venue. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy the picturesque Usk Valley and Wentwood Forest. The hotel offers secure storage for bicycles and a drying room is available.
