Les Routiers partners with the SRA!
Les Routiers UK & Ireland has taken another major step towards making sustainability mainstream in restaurants by signing a partnership deal with The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA).
Award winning Glangrwyney Court has all the elements of a fine B&B and more. Set in an elegant Grade II listed Georgian mansion and having been sympathetically refurbished by manager, Christina Jackson, the wow factor starts at the gate of this gorgeous property! Approached via an attractive, tree-lined drive that runs through delightful gardens, Glangrwyney Court’s 5 star luxury interior is just as splendid. The lounges are extremely comfortable, complemented by 5 opulently decorated en suite bedrooms that are romantic in style, as well as benefiting from lovely views over the gardens and grounds. Set in the breathtaking Brecon Beacons with the rolling Black Mountains beyond, 4 acres of walled gardens and 33 acres of parkland, the location provides the perfect base for exploring the stunning countryside or to simply sit back, relax and enjoy.
Breakfast is quite an occasion, thanks to the locally-sourced, fresh ingredients from the Black Mountains Smokery, such as local honey, vegetables and fruit.
All rooms are fully equipped with TVs and DVD Players, hairdryers, clock radios, premium toiletries, fluffy bath towels and robes, and tea/coffee making facilities. There are 8 bedrooms in the main house, a further ground floor room in the Garden Courtyard and three cottages which are all available as bed & breakfast or on a self catering basis, depending upon your preference. Guests are encouraged to relax in the cosy sitting room in front of the roaring log fire during the winter months. The lounge is tastefully decorated and furnished with period pieces, whilst the honesty bar, located in the library, houses a wide selection of books available to our guests.
For the more active guests, there is an all weather tennis court, or why not try your hand at croquet and boules. For the more adventurous sports guests, pony trekking, fishing and shooting is available locally and can be easily arranged by Christina. There is also an enormous choice for walkers in the immediate area and the Brecon Beacons National Park and Black Mountains offer tremendous hill-walking and the Brecon/Pontypool canal offers gentle walking along the towpath.
