Les Routiers partners with the SRA!
Les Routiers UK & Ireland has taken another major step towards making sustainability mainstream in restaurants by signing a partnership deal with The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA).
To find a restaurant serving true Kentish fare (the Hop Picker’s Pie and Gypsy Tart are time honored treats!) and boasting elegant, stylish bedrooms in an ancient Kentish farmhouse is a true rarity. But that is exactly what you will discover to your delight on Elvey Farm in Pluckley. The drive into the heart of the Kentish countryside starts a wonderful adventure for any traveller visiting Elvey Farm, which is set in the most picturesque and idyllic part of Kent and nestles in 75 acres of farmland.
On arrival at Elvey, you will be greeted by one of the welcoming and convivial hosts, Jeff or Simon. Elvey is delightful: the views across the rolling countryside are breathtaking, the food is first class and the accommodation offers a blissfully peaceful night’s sleep. A boutique hotel which offers the homeliness of a luxury guest house, Elvey Farm is the ideal setting for a wedding or conference: peaceful and quiet yet stylish and traditional. With a varied and interesting programme of events including art courses, murder mysteries and other special interest breaks, a visit to Elvey Farm is a must.
The village of Pluckley was the setting for The Darling Buds of May and is a true English rose set in the Kent countryside. Pluckley has been recognised as “the most haunted village in England” in the 1998 edition of The Guinness Book of Records and even the churchyard has its own resident ghost!
