Description

Situated on Eastbourne’s seafront within The Burlington Hotel, on the corner of Terminus Road and Grand Parade, The Belgian Café and restaurant brings a little slice of Belgium to the Sussex coast. Inside, the decoration is saluting many famous “Belgians” with pictures of Tintin on the walls and advertisements for Belgian beers - all of which can be found on the 80-strong Belgian beer menu. Despite being a part of a Georgian building, the cafe is light, modern and airy with a fine art deco maple bar and stripped wood floors.

The Belgian Café and its terrace offer fantastic views over the Pier and towards Beachy Head. The cuisine focuses principally on traditional Belgian cuisine: fresh seafood and mussels with endless varieties of ingredients and flavours, locally farmed meats and juice steaks, all with crunchy, fluffy frites and mayonnaise.

The restaurant also offers additional al fresco seating, perfect for lovely summer evenings. Regular special live music events are held on most Fridays throughout the year, between 7.30pm and 10.30pm, which are popular and create a superb atmosphere - book early to avoid disappointment as they are extremely popular and create a great atmosphere.
