Quietly hidden away in a tiny hamlet on the edge of the National Trust’s Ashridge Estate, this pretty, cottage-style pub is well worth seeking out. The Alford Arms is sister pub to Royal Oak in Marlow, Old Queen’s Head in Penn, The Swan Inn in Denham, and
