  • “Simply an award winning evening of food, service and ambience from a truly, just deserved award winning pub. It's clear to see why The Stag was winner of National Food Pub of the Year 2010!! Great range of dishes, excellently presented, superb wines...the list goes on. Visit The Stag whenever you can, you won't be disappointed.”

  • “What a great pub. I went there recently and had a really enjoyable meal. The food was really fresh and the staff were all very friendly. It was refreshing to find a traditional pub, with character and not tainted by a big chain! The owner, Sisi was very knwoledgable about her wines and food, and it was nice when the head chef, Andrew, came out to make sure everything was ok.”

  • “Great place to eat locally, simple menu (always fits on 1 page) but always good fresh local produce cooked in a simple but interesting way. Good theme nights with steak night , oysters etc and once in a while a great carnivores club night that has tutored wines as an extra. I go at lunch where possible and always enjoy the service, good garden with plenty of room also.”
